It’s early, but candidates are starting to announce or indicate they might announce their bid for the presidency in 2020. This is not new. Most presidential elections involve numerous candidates, especially from the party not currently in the White House. While it is very difficult to beat an incumbent, presidents also are subject to running in primaries against others from their party before moving on to the general election.
Using hard news sources, research to find out more about who these potential candidates are and what kind of experience they have. Paragraph 1: Cite at least four likely candidates. Include their name, political affiliation, educational background, and job experience. You may not cite the president as a possibility as we know he is running; however, make yourself knowledgeable of his educational background and job experience if you are unaware. Paragraph 2: Cite at least two more possible candidates. Include their name, political affiliation, educational background, and job experience. Paragraph 3: What major issues are likely to be at the forefront of the 2020 election? What issues would you personally like to hope would be pertinent? At the end of your post, cite at least two hard news sources you used to in your research. Ex. Vox, Washington Post Comment on the post of one other classmate (2 posts total). There is no word limit; however, a simple sentence stating your agreement or disagreement, or fondness for the post, is unacceptable.
